Pickle Palooza!

Yesterday Addie was so excited about the Pickle Palooza and was talking about it all day. I was able to catch a clip of it on video :)

Today was full of Pickle Palooza fun! Addie, Bryce & I started the day off with a little 5K run. This was Bryce's first time riding in a race and Addie's second. We were able to snag a picture with the pickle before the race began :)

The race went great. Despite pushing a stroller, I ran one of the fastest 5Ks I've run! All the excitement of the race pushed me to go faster, and I was trying to keep up with the other double stroller runner right in front of me :)

Addie re-hydrating after a 3.1 mile ride. Love the hand on the hip stance :)

After the race we headed back to the SUV and ate our lunch in the shade in the back :) Next up was walking in the Pickle Parade with Stroller Strides.

Hanging out before we lined up for the parade.

Bryce got a little nap in while waiting for the parade to begin.

Addie made herself quite comfortable :)

Stroller Striders lined up for the parade...

We were right behind the horses...notice the "pickle poop" sign ;)

Still waiting for the parade to get moving!

Managed to get him to keep this hat on long enough for a picture :)

The Pickle Queens :)

Waving to everyone in the parade...

It was a fun day. Addie and Bryce both went to bed early, and I'm about to too :)

Bryce: 9 months

This cute little guy is 9 months old today!
He...
-is crawling and attracted to many things he shouldn't get into!
-is pulling up to stand on his knees
-has 4 teeth
-loving all kinds of foods
-sleeping through the night, most nights
-loves swinging at the park
-loves when Addie does funny things to make him giggle
-doesn't always love the stroller during Stroller Strides, but loves the playtime afterwards!

Today he saw Dr. Wallace. He's a happy, healthy little boy!

Zoo

Wednesday March 13th we went to the Fort Worth Zoo. This was Bryce's first visit and Addie was super excited when we told her we were going. When we planned on going a few days earlier, we did not think about the fact that it was Spring Break and we were going on half price day. The day before we considered waiting and going the following week, but then decided just to go for it and thought we might avoid some of the crowd if we got there early. Well, we got there early, but so did everyone else! We parked a good half mile away and waited in line for about 30 minutes just to get a ticket!

Eagerly waiting to get into the zoo...

Finally purchasing our tickets!

Once we got into the zoo it wasn't quite as bad as we expected. The thousands of people there spread out quite a bit. We were even able to find a not so busy area to eat our lunch.

Bryce had a great first trip to the zoo!

Before we got to the car, we stopped to swing for a little bit :)

Although it was a fun trip to the zoo, we will definitely not be visiting on half price day during Spring Break again! ;)
